Full Moon Meditation

Full Moon Meditation

by Maymoves

Whether you wish to practice gratitude, present moment mindfulness, visualization, or manifestation, guided meditation is a great way to calm the mind and invite positive energy in.

This full moon meditation is intended to be done outside in the moonlight, or somewhere that the moonlight is resting on you.

FULL MOON MEDITATION:

Settling into a comfy position, either sitting in a lotus or laying down, let’s begin by taking a few deep cleansing breaths-

Deep breath in through your nose, feeling the cool air enter your body, and exhaling though your mouth. Just noticing the natural rhythms of your breath.

This ritual of meditation under the full moon will allow you to visualize the powerful energy and connect with mother moon on a deep level. Notice, or imagine the full moon’s glorious size among the stars. Envision the bright, reflective light and energy completely washing over you.

As you sit or lay, bring attention to every inch of your body the ground is touching. Imagine roots growing from that skin- rooting deep into the earth. Like a tree. Follow these roots as deep into the earth as they go. You start to realize these roots seem to have no end-they keep winding deeper and deeper through the earth dirt. You are so grounded.

Now, bring your attention to every part of your skin being kissed by the moon.

Envision your body as a sponge- soaking the brilliant light. You are becoming amplified, glowing. Feel your energy expanding higher and wider.

Your roots run deep into the earth and your aura lights up as far as you can see.

Let this cosmic intensity affect your physical body. Notice where you feel it’s energy within your body.

Take a deep breath in- imagine the bright light traveling down into your belly, filling your solar plexus with this brilliant energy. As you lay here in the light of the of moon, allow the energy to wash away any tension you are holding in your body.

Relax your face, your shoulders

let it soften every muscle in your face and jaw.

Bring attention to in between your eyebrows, relaxing the skin over your third eye.

Loosen your jaw and tongue away from the top of your mouth.

Let it soften your shoulder muscles, arms, and upper torso.

May this energy soften your belly and hips- releasing all tension and emotions you are holding in these spaces.

And finally allowing your legs and lower body to completely release.

You see, you are a vessel for this divine energy to move in and through. Holding onto unwanted emotions and tensions that are not serving your greater good is only creating blockages where this universal energy cannot move. By noticing and releasing through breath, you can unwind these blockages to allow spirit to access your being. You always have your breath. You can always notice, release, and renew.

You’ve done the work. You’ve reflected, you’ve forgiven, and importantly, you’ve offered pieces of you to Mother Earth that maybe you didn’t know you still held onto.

Surrender.

Surrender feels good.

Letting go feels good.

Surrender to the energy and the tension you are so deserving to get rid of.

Let it go.

I release all thoughts, habits, behaviour, situations, and energies that are not longer of service to me and my highest potential. I thank the universe for all the lessons I have learned, and i have gratitude for all that was, is, and will be.

With every exhale, offer something new up to the glorious full moon. Notice that with every exhale, you feel yourself becoming lighter and lighter.

Leaving more and more space- for the new nourishing energy to home. In it’s place, I invite and receive love, joy, and abundance.

Take a deep breath in- I

Deep breath out- Am

Ending affirmations-

All my needs are fulfilled.

I am exactly where I am suppose to be in this moment.

The universe is conspiring to fulfill my dreams.

I am in alignment with my higher purpose, with my dharma.

I attract opportunities that align to my higher purpose.

I invite Peace and Love to enter my being.

I hope you enjoyed this little meditation I created for the Full Moon.

Namaste, Amalia May :)
